Parent & Tot
This class is for ages 18 to 35 months. Each student is accompanied by a parent or guardian who participates in the learning of basic tumbling skills. Parents help their child on the equipment as well as their interaction with other children. This class also emphasizes development of the child’s overall muscle tone, balance, flexibility and perceptual skills as well as listening, self-discipline and social interaction.
Preschool Tumbling
Preschool classes are designed to provide an enjoyable way for children 3 and 4 years old, to develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. The program also emphasizes development of the child’s overall muscle tone, balance, flexibility and perceptual skills as well as listening, self-discipline and social interaction. The pre-school students exercise on balance beam, tumble-track and floor. Skills are incorporated into obstacle courses so the children can have as much movement as possible. Skills that are taught are forward-roll, back-roll, handstands and chartwheels. Class ratios are generally 6 to 1.
Youth Tumbling
This class is designed to introduce the basic components of cheerleading to younger students ages 5 and 6. Tumbling emphasis is placed on forward rolls, back-rolls, handstands and cartwheels. Those interested need no prior training or experience to participate in this class.
Tumbling 1
This class is designed to introduce cheer tumbling to students ages 7 and up. Tumbling emphasis is placed on forward-rolls, back-rolls, handstands, cartwheels and roundoffs with the back hand-spring introduced. Students participate in several different strength drills that accelerate learning of tumbling skills. Those interested need no prior training or experience to participate in this class.
Tumbling 2
This class is for students who have a basic knowledge of cheerleading tumbling. Students will successfully master the round-off back handspring, a series of standing back handsprings, a standing back handspring and be introduced to back tucks. Students will begin skills that will help their bodies develop into strong tumblers and cheerleaders, performing all skills in synchronization to counts.
Tumbling 3
This class is designed to help a student focus solely on achieving a solid back tuck. Participants focus on drills and exercises related to back tucks. Students participating in this class must already be able to perform a standing backhandsprings and running round-off back handsprings.
Advanced Tumbling
This class is for more advanced cheerleaders who have a solid background in tumbling. Participants focus on back handspring series, round-off handspring back tucks, standing back tucks, layouts and full twists. Students participating in this class must already be able to perform an unassisted standing back handspring and round-off back hand-spring and tucks with proper technique.
Cheer Class
This class is designed to help students get ready for their school tryouts. The students will work on Cheer motions and jumps, perfect their intro for tryouts along with building confidence. The students will work on voice projection and learning how to lead their student body in cheers.
